Johnny Neill, a native of Denver, Colorado, is a classically trained violinist who has performed professionally for 30 years, throughout the United States.

Equally comfortable with the Arapahoe Philharmonic Orchestra, or at a Barn Dance, he has mastered the ability to entertain in all venues. Johnny's western credentials include playing the fiddle in a promotional spot for The Western's Channel's "Six Gun Salute" series, as well as work in the western classics "Centennial" and "Conagher", (becoming a BMI affiliated songwriter for the "Tumbleweed Waltz" he wrote on location for the movie). Other motion pictures include "Every Which Way but Loose", and television's "Diagnosis Murder". Recently, he starred in the Denver Center for Performing Arts production "Almost Heaven, The Story of John Denver".

As a faculty member of Swallow Hill Music School for 4 years, he is proud of the 1999 Mayor's Award for Excellence in the Arts, as well as the 2000 Governor's Award for Excellence in the Arts the school received, due in large part to the contributions to the community, and the tremendous teaching staff.

Also, he was chosen to be a primary judge of the Colorado State Fiddle Championship twice and Fiddler's on the Gorge in 1996, judging all ages, from beginners to Old Time Texas Legends.

Johnny's recording career has featured him on many CD's, and his talent in the studio has made him a "high demand" recording artist. You might have heard his playing on the "Colorado Getaways" theme song on channel 4, or seen him performing live for 600,000 crazed Bronco Fans at the Bronco Rally at Civic Center Park celebrating their second Super Bowl win.

Johnny has the ability to perform solo, or with any combination of musicians up to a 12-piece swing band. Very often, his duo and trio work is called upon repeatedly, as well as his capability to organize a 4-5 piece band for any occasion, on a moment's notice. Musical styles range from Classical, Western Swing, Bluegrass, Country, Jazz, or just about any kind of music that is needed.

No matter where you've seen him, Johnny Neill is sure to entertain you, get your feet moving, and put a smile on your face!!!
